El Convento, además del museo, conserva espacios históricos como su patio interior, la cervecería, el coro alto y los campanarios, todos cargados de arte en muros y corredores. La portería conecta con el claustro principal, un elegante patio rodeado de arquerías que enmarca un jardín con palmeras y una pila central de alabastro.
En el piso inferior, las esquinas del claustro albergan retablos manieristas con esculturas policromadas de santas como Bárbara, Margarita, Catalina y Lucía. Destaca la talla de Catalina de Alejandría (1667), obra del escultor Juan Bautista Vásquez, hecha en cedro europeo y vinculada a la memoria de la familia Atahualpa.
In addition to the museum, the Convent preserves historic spaces such as its interior courtyard, the brewery, the choir loft, and the bell towers, all filled with art on the walls and corridors. The gatehouse connects to the main cloister, an elegant courtyard surrounded by arcades that frames a garden with palm trees and a central alabaster font.
On the lower floor, the corners of the cloister house Mannerist altarpieces with polychrome sculptures of saints such as Barbara, Margaret, Catherine, and Lucia. Of particular note is the carving of Catherine of Alexandria (1667), a work by the sculptor Juan Bautista Vásquez, made of European cedar and linked to the memory of the Atahualpa family.
